Metribolone

Metribolone (R1881 — Synthetic Androgen Research Compound)
AnabolicFDA: Not approved — never intended for human...WADA: PROHIBITED — Category S1

Overview

⚠ NO HUMAN CLINICAL TRIALS — EVER. Metribolone is a laboratory research tool used as the reference standard in androgen receptor binding assays. Extreme potency makes human use extraordinarily dangerous with no therapeutic ratio established. Published literature = receptor pharmacology studies only, zero human administration studies.

Mechanism of Action

17α-methyl-trenbolone. Extremely high AR binding affinity — gold standard AR binding assay reference compound in receptor pharmacology research. AR Ki ~0.2 nM (among highest known). Also binds progesterone receptor. Used in laboratory research to study androgen receptor function, not for human administration.
