Tesofensine

Tesofensine (NS2330 — Triple Monoamine Reuptake Inhibitor)
MetabolicWell ResearchedFDA: Not approved; Phase II completed

Overview

Phase II trial: 10.6% weight loss at 0.5 mg vs 2.2% placebo over 24 weeks — among highest for oral agents at time. Phase III not yet completed. Cardiovascular monitoring required (sympathomimetic effects).
