Overview

FDA-approved breast cancer prevention and treatment. Off-label: gynecomastia, hypogonadism, HPG axis restoration in men. Decades of human safety data.

Mechanism of Action

SERM with tissue-selective ER activity. Antagonist in breast tissue — blocks ER-mediated proliferation. Agonist in bone, uterus, liver. In men: blocks estrogen at hypothalamus → increases LH/FSH → endogenous testosterone elevation. Used post-cycle for HPG axis restoration.
